This local restaurant first opened its doors in 2001, and your hosts Karen and Mark, along with their kitchen and front of house teams, have been offering a warm welcome to regulars and tourists ever since. The Carvery is well known for its good quality fresh food, excellent service, and comfortable surroundings.
Offering a selection of roasted meats including delicious roast beef, ham, turkey, lamb, and pork with all the trimmings. There is a wide choice of freshly prepared seasonal vegetables, roast and mashed potatoes and the best Yorkshire puddings. The menu offers a range of starters including classic prawn cocktail, goat’s cheese and beetroot salad, Caesar salad and Norwegian smoked salmon. Main courses include Argentinian Angus sirloin steak, traditional fish & chips, and delicious salads. Save room for home-made puddings including crème Brulee, summer fruit pudding, and Pavlova to name a few (change daily).
The restaurant is light and airy, with air conditioning throughout, and offers a beautiful naturally lit glassed in terrace that gives you the feeling of sitting outside whilst remaining cool. The décor offers a stunning wall of plants in the terrace. Huge lamps that were reclaimed from the entrance to the Suez Canal can be found in the restaurant, alongside artwork and sculptures from artists Polly Hope, Theo Crosby and Dido Crosby.
